Jinko ESS, a global leading energy storage solution provider and a subsidiary of Jikno Solar Co., Ltd., recently announced the successful delivery of 21 units of its SunGiga 261kWh liquid-cooling energy storage systems to a textile manufacturer in Wenzhou, with a total installed capacity of approximately 5.5MWh. Designed to enable peak-valley electricity arbitrage and load smoothing, the project provides a stable and secure power supply, helping the enterprise enhance energy efficiency while managing operational risks in continuous, energy-intensive production.
To meet the stringent safety and continuity demands of textile manufacturing, the system is built on a multi-layered safety architecture that ensures reliable power delivery. Its intelligent Battery Management System (BMS) provides cell-level monitoring and thermal runaway warning to mitigate risks at the source. The fully enclosed cabinet effectively resists production dust, while integrated temperature-smoke sensors and passive fire suppression offer critical protection for dense operational environments. Beyond safety, the system’s compact, all-in-one design saves valuable floor space. With a lifecycle exceeding 8,000 cycles and a wide operating temperature range, it delivers long-term, stable support for 24/7 production and peak-valley tariff applications.
“Safety is always the top priority for energy storage in complex environments like textile manufacturing,”said Damon Duan, General Manager of Jinko ESS China.“This project’s choice of SunGiga liquid-cooling energy storage system underscores its robust safety design, from cell management and thermal prevention to full-system protection. We will continue to center our solutions on safety, delivering ever more reliable and efficient energy storage to help high-energy-consumption industries achieve both sustainability and cost-effectiveness.”
