Recently, the global leading PV and ESS supplier, JinkoSolar announced that it has received a Statement of Conformity to ISO 20400 Sustainable Procurement Guidance after an independent audit by SGS. The declaration recognizes JinkoSolar’s systematic integration of environmental, social and governance (ESG) criteria into every stage of procurement and supply-chain management.
ISO 20400, developed by experts from more than 40 countries and endorsed by UNEP, OECD and the International Trade Union Confederation, provides global guidance for embedding sustainability into purchasing policies, processes and decision-making, thereby reducing economic, environmental and social risks across supply chains.
JinkoSolar’s programme follows a closed-loop model of development, assessment, segmentation, improvement and exit. All suppliers must sign the Company’s Supplier Code of Conduct covering environmental protection, health & safety and labour standards—current sign-off rate is 100 %. New suppliers undergo dual ESG screening on social and environmental metrics before onboarding, eliminating high-risk partnerships at source.
To strengthen resilience, core-material purchases are concentrated on tier-one suppliers with proven R&D capability, stable processes and stringent quality controls. Where technical specifications allow, JinkoSolar prioritises local and regional sources; today 86.64 % of procurement spend is localised around JinkoSolar’s manufacturing hubs.
JinkoSolar will continue to expand sustainable procurement practices, advance green supply-chain transformation and support global carbon-neutrality goals.
