SINGAPORE — JinkoSolar, the global leading PV and ESS supplier, recently participated in the Asia Climate Action Summit hosted by Climate Group in Singapore. As an RE100 member, JinkoSolar joined the Energy Stream roundtable to discuss renewable energy deployment, solar-plus-storage integration, and smart grids in Asia, exploring clean energy transition pathways with global industry leaders, policymakers, and international organizations.

During the summit, Climate Group officially launched the RE100 China Guidebook. JinkoSolar was featured as a representative case study for the PV industry, recognized for its leading practices in renewable energy procurement. In China, JinkoSolar has established a diversified procurement strategy—prioritizing green power trading, supplemented by green energy certificates (GECs) and self-generated power—to steadily advance its RE100 targets.

JinkoSolar noted that grid absorption capacity and market mechanisms remain the primary bottlenecks for scaling renewable energy in Asia. The company advocates for a collaborative "Solar-Grid-Storage" model and is accelerating the deployment of AI-empowered solar-plus-storage solutions. Furthermore, JinkoSolar called for enhanced cross-border power interconnection and regional carbon market synergy to fully unlock Asia's green energy potential.

JinkoSolar consistently translates its climate commitments into concrete action:

  • 2019: Became the world’s first solar company to join both the RE100 and EP100 initiatives.
  • 2023: Became the first Chinese PV company to have its near-term, long-term, and net-zero targets validated by the Science Based Targets initiative (SBTi).
  • 2025: Fulfilled its EP100 commitment by achieving 100% ISO 50001 energy management system certification across its operations.

Continuing its dedication to RE100, JinkoSolar recently donated a 120 kWp rooftop solar system to Chulalongkorn University in Thailand in 2025. This donation supports the university's RE100 demonstration project, advancing campus clean energy initiatives and fostering a sustainable energy ecosystem.

Looking ahead, JinkoSolar remains committed to driving the global low-carbon transition through technological innovation and sustainable practices, partnering with stakeholders worldwide to build a greener, smarter, and more resilient future.
