Shanghai, June 2 - JinkoSolar, the global leading PV and ESS supplier, today held the “2026 SNEC New Product Launch and Media Briefing” on the eve of the 19th (2026) International Solar Photovoltaic and Smart Energy Conference & Exhibition (SNEC). New CEO, Charlie Cao made his first public appearance since taking office and delivered a speech, joining forces with the R&D team to unveil a new generation of smart photovoltaic-storage solutions.
Among the highlights, the new-generation Tiger Neo 5.0 modules achieve a power output of 700W for the same module size, with a module efficiency of 25.91%, leading TOPCon technology into the 700W+ era. The simultaneously launched SunTera G5 7.76MWh battery energy storage system sets a new standard for high-efficiency spatial energy storage, delivering a one-stop solution for large-capacity, long-duration energy storage. Furthermore, JinkoSolar’s full-scenario product portfolio—including the Dust-Resistant, AIDC, Safety Guard, Anti-Glare, Light Diamond, and Mount Tai modules—made its debut, establishing a differentiated product matrix that fully demonstrates the company’s systematic innovation capabilities spanning from modules to energy storage.
Coinciding with JinkoSolar’s 20th anniversary, CEO Charlie Cao stated in his address, “Globalization is in JinkoSolar’s DNA. We are transitioning from global marketing and global manufacturing to global investment, entering the era of Global Manufacturing 3.0.” “We have introduced the ‘CLASS’ model, which drives the strategy of local manufacturing to supply local markets through Cooperation, Licensing, Access, Service, and Sharing. Currently, this Globalization 3.0 strategy has been implemented in the U.S. and Middle East markets.”
Xinyu Zhang, Vice President of R&D at JinkoSolar, highlighted the breakthrough progress made in TOPCon technology and tandem cells. He noted that the R&D team has been continuously advancing TOPCon technology through improvements in wafer quality, innovative cell structures and materials, and the application of innovative technical concepts. For instance, regarding metallization materials, he noted that silver-coated copper offers both high reliability and excellent performance, serving as an effective solution to address the cost of metallization in crystalline silicon cells. Jinko focuses on exploring traditional base metals such as pure copper paste, nickel paste, and aluminum paste, while also investigating new materials like two-dimensional topological and high-entropy alloys to build a technological foundation for sustained cost reduction in metallization.
At the same time, he announced that JinkoSolar’s perovskite/TOPCon tandem cells have set a new world record for the 33rd time, with a certified peak efficiency of 34.82%. The core of this advancement lies in JinkoSolar’s deep integration of perovskite and TOPCon cell technologies, the development of a novel perovskite/TOPCon tandem cell structure, and material innovations that have achieved new breakthroughs in the efficiency and stability of TOPCon tandem cells.
Wally Zang, General Manager of Technical Services at JinkoSolar, unveiled the all-new Tiger Neo 5.0 module and a comprehensive product portfolio designed for all scenarios. He noted that the Tiger Neo 5.0 modules achieve comprehensive efficiency gains through processes such as a high-purity, homogeneous silicon substrate, a broad-spectrum light-trapping structure, all-area passivation, and gap-free crystal array packaging. Power output for modules of the same size has jumped from 670W to 700W, with a module efficiency of 25.91% and a power density exceeding 259W/m², officially ushering TOPCon into the 700W+ era. In a full-scenario value comparison, power generation gains have been further enhanced compared to similarly sized competitors, reaching up to 3%. He emphasized that the Tiger Neo 5.0 is not “just another 700W module,” but rather a value model that delivers higher system returns than competitors for the same size.
At the same time, he unveiled scenario-specific modules covering six major sectors: the “Dust-Resistant” module reduces O&M costs through a three-dimensional dust-proof design and the use of nano-coated glass; the “AIDC” module, designed specifically for data centers, increases lifetime power generation by over 3% and reduces system risk costs by 88.6%; the “Safety Guardian” module withstands 55mm hailstones, holds dual Class A fire safety certification, and features ultra-high load-bearing capacity; the “Anti-Glare” module, with a reflectance of just 7%, addresses light pollution issues at transportation hubs; The “Light Diamond” module weighs just 7 kg per square meter, opening the door to solar power for load-restricted rooftops; the “Mount Tai” module features a frame strength doubled, designed specifically for harsh environments such as deserts and wastelands.
Carl Yang, General Manager of Jinko ESS Products Division, officially unveiled the SunTera G5 energy storage system — “a model of high-density, space‑efficient energy storage and the world’s highest energy density among standard 20‑foot container‑based systems.” Leveraging a highly integrated CTP (Cell‑to‑Pack) design, the product achieves an areal energy density of over 570 kWh/m² through flexible cell mounting, coordinated thermal management, and structural optimization. This makes it the industry leader in energy density globally, further enhancing energy storage value per unit footprint. Additionally, the SunTera G5 system achieves a round‑trip efficiency (RTE) of over 96%, ensuring a 25‑year “solar‑storage lifespan parity” (SOH ≥ 70%). By integrating AI capabilities, it enables battery health prediction, proactive fault alerts, and intelligent operation and maintenance optimization, delivering higher returns and greater reliability for scenarios such as high‑energy‑consumption industrial parks, renewable energy integration, AI data centers (AIDC), and grid‑side energy storage.
From the 700W+ power breakthrough of the Tiger Neo 5.0 to the world record for perovskite tandem cells, and from the comprehensive coverage of a full-scenario module portfolio to the long-duration, high-efficiency SunTera G5 energy storage system, Jinko is building a smart energy ecosystem that spans all scenarios and the entire value chain, with technological innovation as its foundation and customer value as its guiding principle.
