September 3 - Jinko ESS, a leading global energy storage company and a subsidiary of JinkoSolar Co., Ltd., was named a winner of the "Energy Storage System Reliability – MTBF" All Quality Matters (AQM) Award 2026 at the 12th All Quality Matters Solar & ESS Summit, hosted by TÜV Rheinland, a leading international third-party testing, inspection and certification organization.
About the All Quality Matters Award
Presented by TÜV Rheinland, the All Quality Matters Awards have, over twelve years, become one of the most influential honors in the solar and storage sector, widely regarded as the "Oscars" of the industry. Built on TÜV Rheinland's rigorous testing standards and objective empirical data, the awards apply the hard benchmark of measured performance to identify products that deliver genuine long-term value.
This year's summit brought together nearly 200 leaders and experts from across the solar and storage value chain. More than 20 awards were presented across three categories — Photovoltaic Products, Solar-Storage-Charging Products, and Power Plant and Supply Chain Services — with all entries evaluated uniformly against five dimensions: safety, performance, reliability, environmental adaptability and comprehensive quality. Winning an AQM Award means meeting the most demanding standards the industry has to offer.
About the MTBF Reliability Assessment
MTBF (Mean Time Between Failures) is a core metric for electronic product reliability. This assessment applied the internationally recognized reliability prediction standard Telcordia SR-332 to model component failure rates across the BMS and other key subsystems, deriving the theoretical mean time between failures of the complete system.
Supported by rigorous component selection and optimized system integration, Jinko ESS's 5MWh energy storage system achieved an MTBF approaching 30,000 hours, reliably underpinning the requirements of engineering-scale deployment. This translates into fewer hardware failures and less unplanned downtime, materially reducing O&M costs and safeguarding the long-term return on investment of storage assets.
Carl Yang, General Manager of the Product Division at Jinko ESS, accepted the award on behalf of the company. "The energy storage industry is moving beyond a contest of equipment performance toward competition grounded in reliability and full-lifecycle value," he said.
