Recently, JinkoSolar unveiled its anti-glare, low-reflectivity modules for transportation infrastructure. Designed for airports, highways, elevated barriers, and similar large-scale transportation settings, these modules eliminate surface glare to minimize visual interference for pilots and drivers. Positioned with "the high glare resistance rating and high standard certification," this product provides a critical green model for deep decarbonization in transportation sectors. It marks the entry of photovoltaics + transportation into a new phase characterized by "safety as the foundation and standards as the guide."

Unlike conventional anti-glare modules, the newly launched transportation anti-glare low-reflection modules employ dual processes: texturing on the glass surface and low-reflective coating. Special coatings effectively scatter light to eliminate harsh glare while significantly reducing environmental light reflection off the glass (low reflection). High glass transmittance and bifacial efficiency maintain superior power generation performance. This enables the modules to eliminate glare and maintain high power generation under various lighting conditions.

1. Superior Anti-Glare Performance
Reflected glare intensity across all incident angles is significantly lower than conventional modules, reducing glare by up to 80%. This meets domestic mandatory requirement of Glare Rating (GR) ≤50 for airport apron floodlighting under the Technical Requirements for Civil Airport Apron Floodlighting, as well as the standards for highway noise barriers specified in JT/T 646-2017. It precisely addresses anti-glare needs across diverse traffic scenarios.

2. Reflectance Suppression
Reflectivity is reduced by over 85% compared to conventional components while maintaining comparable glass transmittance.

3. Triple Authoritative Certification
Certified by TÜV Rheinland and Swiss SPF, currently undergoing testing and certification by the China Photovoltaic Testing Center (CPVT). This will be China's first photovoltaic anti-glare product to achieve triple authoritative certifications, representing the industry's most comprehensive certifications and highest technical standards.

4. High Power, High Energy Output
Based on the proven Feihu series, it maintains full compatibility with existing systems in terms of installation dimensions and methods, eliminating additional retrofitting costs. Furthermore, with a bifaciality rate of 85±5%, it achieves a 3–5% annual power generation increase in vertical installations like highway noise barriers—truly enhancing safety without compromise while doubling efficiency.

Safety is the bottom line for green transformation, making glare prevention a mandatory requirement for transportation photovoltaics. Driven by dual carbon goals, green transformation in transportation is urgent. Airports typically consume over 100 million kWh annually, while highway slopes and sound barriers offer vast unused space—making photovoltaics an ideal choice for zero-carbon operations. However, mirror-like reflections from traditional PV modules can cause momentary visual interference for pilots and drivers, potentially triggering accidents. This has become a major obstacle to large-scale PV deployment in transportation settings.

Case Study: Demonstrating the Safety Value of Anti-Glare PV at Taiyuan Wusu Airport
Taiyuan Wusu International Airport in Shanxi Province is China's first zero-carbon aviation hub. JinkoSolar's large-scale transportation anti-glare low-reflectance modules demonstrate significant applicability here—successfully deployed across approximately 40MW in light-sensitive zones such as both sides of the runway. reducing glare intensity by up to 80% compared to conventional modules. While enduring aircraft wake turbulence and extreme weather conditions, these modules ensure flight visibility safety, delivering on the "zero-tolerance" standard for aviation safety through superior mechanical load performance. The Wusu Airport solution validates the feasibility of the "anti-glare + high power generation" technology approach in high-safety-standard scenarios, offering a referenceable Chinese experience for the green transformation of global transportation infrastructure.
